Bill Hollander and Capt. Stanley Anderson. Based at Debden, England,
January, 1944. Finished in Olive Drab and Neutral Gray. Note early style
cowl flaps, Curtiss Electric narrow blade propeller, and no wing pylons.
“Eileen” P-47-D-11-RE, serial number 42-75429. 84th FS, 78th FG, 8th
Air Force. Flown by 1st Lieutenant Frank Oiler. Based at Duxford,
England in early Summer, 1944. Finished in Olive Drab and Neutral Gray
with cleanly applied invasion stripes on undersides of wing and rear
fuselage. Cutback cowl flaps, centerline and wing racks fitted. Curtiss
Electric narrow blade propeller.
